REVIEW : DIENG, THE MYSTICAL CITY ON THE SKY

18.09 sparka 0 Comments

i would like to review my experience visiting Dieng. It spent about 4 hours on the way to go to Dieng from Jogja. we went to Dieng about 10 am. Going to Dieng, we through Jumpot Tourism place, there we could find many high trees line and belong monkey for living, and we passed Tembi Tea Plantation, it was an amazing area for taking some pictures there.
The way to go Dieang is quite amazing and confusing because we had to pass between two mountains, Sumbing and Sindoro. After we were there, for entrance fee we had to pay Rp. 20.000/person each ticket, for some objects there, the fresh air, and cold atmosphere were so amazing
Located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, Dieng community should be grateful for the abundance of wealth which conferred upon their beautiful and exotic land. Dieng Plateau is offering beautiful and interesting natural wonders, extreme tour in volcanic crater, exotic local culture, and unique dreadlock kids phenomenon.
The first place that we visited was Telaga warna, Telaga Warna is famous for unique and spectacular beauty. The water of lake can change color when exposed to sunlight. Such as green and yellow, similar to the color of the rainbow. This is because, the color of lake water has a high sulfur content.

Second destination was Kawah Sikidang, a volcanic crater with steaming vents and frantically bubbling mud ponds. Exercise extreme caution here. there is no guard rails to keep you from slipping off the sometimes muddy trails into the scalding hot waters
And last destination was Dieng temples itself, Dieng Temples are known to have been built for the worship of the Hindu God Shiva, as can be seen in a rare relief on the Srikandi temple of the Hindu Trinity God : Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. To the Hindu community at the time, Dieng was holy ground, the abode of the gods. Not all temples were used for devotion, however. The temple of Semar, for example, was used to store religious artefact.
If you are lucky and visited there during in the middle of the year, the people surround there have several ceremonies that will be held. Just for reminder, going Dieng the City on the sky are quite better durring dry seasson, because during rainy season the fog will overcloud all the area. While the road to go there are quite extrime, so make sure everything is well-prepared and enjoy traveling.

Coban Pelangi Waterfall is beautiful waterfall, which located about 32 km away to the east malang. It has natural, cool, and clean water that gives a peaceful impression. This Waterfal can be reached on the way to Mount Bromo via Malang city. If there’s sun ray you can always see rainbow there.
Coban Pelangi has a height of 110 m. it is higher than Coban Rondo and Coban Ondo. Strating in district Tumpang youl’ll see greenery along the way. The air becomes cool as well. It is like Cangar in Batu. But here is not so crowded which is better. Maybe it is less known than Batu.
You will see a direction board to this nature beauty. Then we entered area Poncokusumo. On both side of the road you wiil see apple garden. you see the white flowers and the green apples. It is misty but you can’t help not to stop for take a pictures. Good that there’s not lot of traffic so you can stop easily where you want.

The way became smaller, it misted more and the air became cooler. You pay the entrance IDR 4.000/ person and the car IDR 2.000 for the whole day. There are food stalls where you can buy drink and snack here. You must walk it is more difficult and father than the path to Coban Rondo. You have walk about 25 minutes. You will to stay longer there, to play more in the water, to make more picture and just to enjoy the natural beauty.
